How do Berkey water systems differ from standard pitcher filters?

When should I replace my Black Berkey Purification Elements?
Each pair of Black Berkey elements is designed to last for approximately 6,000 gallons of water. For a typical household using 2-3 gallons a day, this equates to roughly 5-8 years of use before replacement is necessary.
Do you offer free shipping on home filtration systems?
Yes, we offer free standard shipping on all orders over $99 within the contiguous United States. Most orders are processed within 1-2 business days and delivered via UPS or FedEx.
What is your return policy if I am not satisfied?
We offer a 30-day return policy on all unused and unassembled products. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact our support team to initiate a return authorization. Please note that for hygiene reasons, used filters cannot be returned.
Are Berkey systems easy to assemble at home?
Absolutely. Berkey systems require no electricity or complicated plumbing. Each unit comes with a comprehensive setup guide, and most customers have their system assembled and priming within 15 to 20 minutes.
How do I know which size system is right for my family?
Selection depends on your daily water consumption and available counter space. The Travel Berkey is ideal for 1-2 people, the Big Berkey is our most popular for families of 2-4, and the Royal or Imperial models are recommended for larger households or emergency preparedness.
